Ready for Cyberspace

I guess I'm ready to send the link for my blog out. I'm afraid this is going to be about the only way I keep people updated. The chemo is effecting my eyes and I can't read without them getting really achy right away. I can't even look at the computer screen as I type this. This is a bummer for someone who likes to read as much as I do. Joe's siser, Sue, sent me an audiobook. I'm kind of anxious to try it out.

Joe and Pam have been reading all the beautiful and encouraging emails and cards I've been getting to me, but I won't be able to respond to them personally for a while. Sorry. I can't tell you how much they help keep my spirits up.

Much love to all!

My dear friend! Okay..so last night Norma, Ruthie and I went to Nando's for some ya-ya time and you were 'sitting' in the empty chair at our table with us...we talked about how to support you, we prayed and oh yes...the ultimate sacrifice...we toasted to you and your RECOVERY with a Nando's margarita.... sometimes we just gotta do what we gotta do!!! After our coffee and heading out, we all drove to your house!! That's right! Ruthie and Norma wanted your address and I had told them how you live across from GHS...and sure enough as we were going down Elliot, I turned and we stopped right in front of your house so that I could show them....did you feel our love as we three crazy women stood in the street thinking of you??!!??

A nephew of mine is undergoing treatment and he has a blog, too. It's been an invaluable way of keeping his friends and family up-to-date with his progress (and RECOVERY!) and I think with your love of the internet, your wonderful writing voice and skills, this is a great idea for everyone!!

Continued 'happy tummy' this weekend.... and if you ever feel a margarita is just what the doctor ordered, call me. Your tres amigas will swing by, throw you in Norma's jeep and head off to Nando's!! : ))

Dear Martha, Thank you SO much for creating your blog to keep us informed! That way we can keep you near and dear to our hearts without imposing on your few good times and dear family!! It's kind of like the comfort one can get from opening the bedroom door to check up on a sleeping baby!! :o)

Martha, you have such such a profound effect on SO many people!! We ALL love and care about you!! Your illness was so devastating to me . . . and still is!! There's not a moment that goes by that I'm not thinking about you and your family and the challenges you are facing. BUT . . . if positive thoughts and pleading prayers are the answer, Girlfriend, you're set for a lifetime!!! ;o)

Martha, we ALL are WAITING for that moment that you say you need something or want something done!!! ANY time . . . day or night . . . you just say it and we'll get it done!!!

Thanks again for creating your blog, Martha!!! We're there for you!!!

Take care, dear friend!!

Lots of love,
Dottie
